Sony PlayStation Vita Becomes Official


With the holiday season approaching, technology companies are hyping up their lineup for the thousands of holiday wishlists they hope to appear on. One such company is Sony who has officially announced the NGP (Next Generation PSP) in America at their E3 conference today.

The device will be known officially as the PlayStation Vita and will cost $250 for the regular version and $299 for the 3G version. The device features such things as an OLED screen, GPS and for the first time there will be no physical disks (UMD) allowed. All media on the Vita wll be downloaded from a computer or PSN.

Sony is currently handing out demo units to select developers and hopes to have over 50 titles available at launch.
