Swizz Beatz x Reebok Sneaker – Grey Colorway
Today we get a nice look at the grey colorway of the upcoming sneaker collaboration between Swizz Beatz and Reebok. The sneaker comes in a mix of grey leather, patent leather and exotic leather with a red outer sole and beige lining. All in all a very solid colorway of the sneaker, probably the best one we have seen so far.
Swizz Beatz is asking his fans to find a name for the sneaker and the winner will get the sneaker and a cash prize of 1500 USD. You can participate here and the winner will be announced February 16th.
DVS x Cinelli & Cadence
For Spring 2011 DVS has worked on two bike centric collaborations. With bike maker Cinelli they present the Luster Cinelli in two colorways with some nice performance details added to the otherwise simple looking low top. With Cadence they present another low top sneaker with a more fashion centric theme, while also keeping the biker in mind. The sneaker comes in three colorways.

Chris Brown asks for Restraining Order Against Rihanna to be Lifted
Rihanna's attorneys will now decide if it it's okay for Chris Brown to attend award shows and events that the former couple plans on attending.
Yesterday, Virginia Pop/R&B singer Chris and attorney asked a Los Angeles court judge to remove the restraining order against former girlfriend Rihanna during a progress report. The singer, who was arrested for brutally beating Rihanna in February, 2009, was seeking the order lifted because it reportedly prevented him from attending award shows, parties and public events, according to RadarOnline.com.
While Judge Patricia Schnegg did not remove the order, Chris Brown and legal staff are presently waiting Rihanna's attorneys to modify the order from "stay away" to "do not annoy."
Despite three Grammy Award nominations, Chris Brown is not expected to attend next month's premiere event.

Asics Gel Lyte Speed OG Pack
Asics is about to release their Gel Lyte Speed running sneaker in its two original colorways.
Developed in 1989 and first released in the US and Europe in 1991, the sneakers return this month
with a release date set for January 28th. The pack will be available at better sneaker stores as a limited edition.

Outlier x FEIT Supermarine Sneakers – A Detailed Look
“The Outlier Feit Supermarines. A handmade sneaker, built with the best materials possible. Highly water resistant, extremely breathable and all around a pleasure to wear.
Like all of Feit’s shoes the Supermarines are handmade using traditional shoemaking techniques that today are generally only used by high end dress shoe companies like John Lobb, Alden and Tricker’s.
The upper is made from two materials and uses only two seams, one to attach the tongue and one to close up the rear. The outer material is Supermarine Cotton, a highly water resistant and extremely breathable fabric made solely of the longest staple Egyptian cotton. The inner is a double layer of French calf leather, an extremely soft and breathable material.
The Feit/Outlier commando sole is a similar combination. A full length French vegetable leather outsole provides an excellent combination of flexibility and stiffness, while a two piece Vibram sheet rubber layer ensures solid grip and traction. A cork midsole adds in natural breathability and shock absorption. Everything is sewn together using the traditional handmade Goodyear welt construction. Waxed cotton laces, a 3M reflective heel cap, a discreet lace tuck and a buffalo leather insole with natural latex arch support complete the package.”

For Spring 2011 A Bathing Ape presents yet another collaboration with G-Shock. Born on January 16, 1979, today would have been Aaliyah Dana Haughton‘s 32nd birthday.

I was up at 3 am this morning in a chipper mood when this gem randomly plays on my itunes and I'm sure you all are thinking of the commercial with the car. But in retrospect this song is probably one of the underrated classics of the late 80's during the rise of the New Jack Swing era. Tony! Toni!Toné! have since broken up and mostly have had successful careers as session musicians and songwriters, while Raphael Saadiq went on to become one of the pioneers of the Neo-Soul movement.

Article: Is Free Will A Myth?
We have vain brains; we see ourselves as better than we really are. We like to think that we exercise free will, that put into a situation where we were challenged to do something we thought unacceptable then we’d refuse. But, if you believe that, then you are probably deluded.
I make this claim, based partly on the work of psychologist Stanley Milgram. Milgram devised and carried out ingenious experiments that exposed the frailty and self-delusion that are central to our lives. He showed how easy it is to make ordinary people do terrible things, that “evil” often happens for the most mundane of reasons.
Twitter: A Facilitator Of Controversy
First it was Blackplanet. Then it was Hi5. Shortly after, Myspace came about. Now It's Facebook. What's next? Twitter, that's what. Not only do I believe that Twitter will be the most dominant social networking site of the future, but I also believe that Twitter is co-staring with Facebook as of current. Why? Because it's a much more simple, relaxed social networking site. On Twitter, no one cares about what pictures you're tagged in, the statuses you post, or who you're in a relationship with... all those intimate details are accessible on Facebook. Twitter heads only care about how exciting and unique your tweets are.

Fashion & Technology: HM2 SV Watch Collection by MB&F
The release of Horological Machine #2 by Maximilian Büsser and the folks at MB&F has finally come to fruition. The HM2 SV Watch is a limited edition timepiece that was slowly created at the speed of 3-4 pieces per month. The watch that is reminiscent of a cassette tape come in black & green and black & red colorways and limited to a run of 18 pieces. The SV in the watches’ name is for Sapphire Vision that describes the clear view to the HM2’s 349 piece heart.

The phenomenon of reality stars who are famous for being famous is hardly a new one but the popularity of reality television is only making it a more common occurrence.
A sub-sect of that same fame is the handful who think they're ability to be reality stars will translate into actual success on the music charts, despite the fact that they've never actually been singers.
Whether it was Paris Hilton's 2006 self-titled debut that actual sold two million copies worldwide or The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kim Zolciak who went from recording a country album when we were first introduced to her in 2008 but released the pop-dance record, "Tardy for the Party" to relative success in 2009, it's become the natural next step for some of them to explore.
