On January 4th, Skype updated their mobile app for the iPhone to include video chat over both Wi-Fi and 3g. This is a huge advancement over the already implemented Facetime application which only allows for calls over Wi-Fi. This new Skype update can also be used on both the iPad and the iPod Touch. This video calling via Skype is long overdue and look for it to become present on more phones in the upcoming weeks.
