Busta Rhymes - Year of the Dragon LP Download

Busta Rhymes has stayed true to his word and released his free EP "Year of the Dragon". Be sure to check it out, it has features from Lil Wayne, Robin Thicke, Rick Ross and others. My favorite track is "Dungeon Dungeon" which pays tribute to A Tribe Called Quest's classic song "Scenario".

Chris Batson: The Beautiful Dream

The Beautiful Dream can be described as an ambient listening experience. The mixtape is artist Chris Batson's sophomore effort and the tape does a great job on building on what Batson started during his first mixtape "White Lies". During this tape, Batson expands his sounds and the cd is a very ethereal project. On songs like 5 AM and Seasons, Batson uses his smooth vocals to croon over past love interests. On the song F.T.H, Batson crafts what has the makings of a huge club banger similar to hits by Drake or Kanye West. Batson shows his strong ability to change up his sound when he gets into songs like "Greatest Goodbye" in which he performs a very Coldplay-esque rock medley. My personal favorite song on the mixtape would have to be the 5th song "Ashley". In this song, Batson sings to an ex describing his current love interest and it makes for a classic song similar to something that an artist like The-Dream would release. Chris Batson produced, rapped and sung each track on this cd and it shows his endless creative ability.
