This album has been one I really wasn't planing on hearing what so ever, but this became probably the album I love the most by far this summer. Travie McCoy's debut album doesn't stray too far from the familiar sound of his hits with Gym Class Heroes and I like it. The hit single "Billionare" featuring Bruno Mars didn't really catch me at first but it lead away to a fusion of hip-hop, soca and rock which is a mix no artist could ever go wrong with, that said I never understood why Artist like Him, Gwen Stafani and Nicole Scherzinger make solo records when they're the sole artist singing with their bands. BEATS ME!

To say Drake is a bad rapper is inaccurate, but to say that he's genius or any equivalent is just plain ignorance. Yes he's possibly the only artist to push a shit load of units by selling songs from a mixtape he released for free and he's posibly the first artist who's hit single didn't even come from an album but a mixtape, and possibly knocked out 5 leading hits before even releasing an official album and a fucking grammy award. So Drake does prove his self in the talent department when it comes his music and this album is no different, however there is a thin line between entertainment and talent and Drake seems to have not crossed that line. The album could be described in one word Dull, none of the tracks seem to stand out from one another and none of them really sound like hits, but he managed to rack up two hits how he did it beats me but knowing that he's on young money ehhh.

In typical X-Tina fashion, she manages to use her pipes as an excuse to put out so-so material. This album is no different when I found out she was working with electroclash acts like Ladytron and Peaches along with her typical Urban-Pop sound I was BEYOND excited, but I ended up disappointed the first single "Not Myself Tonight" is easily the worst single of her career, following the reggae inspired "Woohoo" featuring today's leading rap chick Nicki Minaj as well as other pop slumps that could've been removed in place of more of the left field material. Her voice is perfect for the Electroclash styles of Ladytron, Sia and Peaches and make some of the best songs of X-tina's career with that being said Aguilera should explore more other fields than just urban pop, she doesn't have the voice for it she's too powerful for Rihanna like songs and should be showcasing such a beautiful gift on harder hitting beats and destructive synths.
