Sam Adams, an up and coming rapper from Boston addressed Billboard recently in regards to the claim that he bought his own music in order to boost his sales. These allegations quickly arised after his digital EP completely took off on the iTunes Hip Hop album charts placing him up among artists such as Lil Wayne. He told Billboard, "I knew I didn't buy those copies, I'm a middle class kid from Boston. I would never have that kind of money. It was a laughing point for my whole camp but also disappointing at first to hear what was being said. But with success comes pain. There are a lot of people who wish they were in my position." He is now being looked at by major labels and working on his debut album.
