Album Review: Robyn "Body Talk"

If i were to make a compilation of my entire 2010 thus far it would be Robyn's Body Talk series . Maybe she and I were going through similar situations at the same time, or it wasutter coincedence my fav Swed wrote my story of this year on wax. With pts.1 & 2 garnering acclaim the third and final instalment in her Body Talk series closes the chaper where she last left off. Synth pop never sounded so good every song is a stunner and I recomend you give this record and girl a try before you write her off. An excellent way to end a superb music trilogy and shitty year { for me atleast).

Album Review: N*E*R*D "Nothing"

Two years since the comeback album Seeing Sounds Pharrell and and co are back with the triumphant Nothing the album can be compred to their sophmore effort but with more umph and energy with a sprinkle of more mature lyrics. The album lacks fillers like their sophmore record, easily one of the most consistant bands out the album is a blend of fubk, alt. rock and hip-hop something that honestly couldve been dated easily but N*E*R*D seem to reinvent themselves time and time again.

Album Review : Wynter "The First Dance"

Coming from her success of the international #1 hit "Suga" with Pop star Flo Rida, Wynter Gordon released her first taste into her upcoming solo album With The Music I Die due early next year, with the Ep Th First Dance it consist of all her dance hits which she garnered over the last year since her appearance on Sugar. This six song set features the flirtatious # 1 dance record "Dirty Talk" produced by Jupiter Ace , as well as a new version of her internet smash "Renegade". The Ep segues beautifully through each of the 6 songs and her take on Donna Summer's late 70s hit "I Feel Love" gives quite the chillers. This album is a great intro into her budding career as a future dancing queen.

Fresh Feature: The Real Rihanna
by Petro X
For years I understood the hype around this girl and I was never impressed. Even back in 07/08 when she did Umbrella she was a dull bore. I don’t think she’s much of a singer, she can’t dance for shit and she’s quite cold and stuffy in the personality department. She never matched her music imo. She’s a complete bitch and it never reflected on her 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Or upcoming 5th album. All those albums were bubbly and very feminine which when you look at any incarnation of Fenty she always displayed a cold snooty bitch ala Cruella Deville. But she won me over last year when she dropped the ever depressing Russian Roulette, possibly the best vocal performance she’s ever given. The she perceeded with the album Rated R which was filled with dark occult themes and cold emotion and beats that were so hard I could hear the toughest rapppers on. This by far is her best work as an artist even her image was on point. Her team is incredible ( I am for certain she has zero input on her music or image), they didn’t drop the ball on any of her relases from this record. I even bought the sexed up depressed record, however sadly, this era was cut short on behalf of the incoming italo-disco craze that struck right around the time RR was released so the rushed the album in effort for her to keep up with everyone else by releasing the very generic and bland “Only Girl”. Maybe Satan will posses her again and the Rated R Fenty will strike back and terrorize ya’lls neighborhoods.

Coming from LA this smooth operator is someone I ran across at my other blog, he's a rapper and producer and his sound can be described as something for the ladies mirroring Drake's mellow sound and the aura of Jay- Z. He's currently releasing tracks via his blog ufocottoncandy.tumblr.com and you can download the first tape here

MC Hammer disses Jay-Z, Please Hammer, Don't Hurt'Em
I don't know what this world is coming to. Apparently MC Hammer took offense to a few lines Jay-Z spat on Kanye's "So Appalled", one of the Good Fridays tracks. Heres the line...
“And Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused
I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30
Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me.”
