Kid Cudi airs it all out for Complex
How heavy did the drug use get?
...
It was a creative look for you and Kanye, though. Kid Cudi: Can I be honest with you? I don't think anybody is fucking with what we--me and Kanye--got. Creatively, there's nobody. You can argue all day about who has the best album, there's never going to be an answer. There are other artists who are hot for God knows what reason. But as far as creativity, pound for pound, track for track, video for video, hands down, there's nobody fucking with me and 'Ye.
Speaking of Wale, when you hit that fan at your show last December, he came out with a line about it ["Throwin' 'round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit," from "Thank You Freestyle"]. Kid Cudi: It wasn't a shot, it's just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can't let that shit faze you. That's one of those raps that just shows the world that you wack. Why would you even use that as a metaphor? Everybody think they Hov. Niggas ain't got the magic like they think they do; there's only a couple of wizards in this game. I'm a wizard and I know it.

Nicki Minaj x Out Mag spread + Article
THE Curious Case of Nicki Minaj
To view a slide show of photos from our Nicki Minaj cover shoot, as well as an exclusive behind-the-scene video, click here.
Nicki Minaj is a 25-year-old rapper from Queens, New York, with a wickedly clever flow and never-ending supply of pop culture punch lines. Except when she’s Roman Zolanski, her gay male alter ego, who spits saucy verses at warp speed. Or the character Nicki Lewinsky, who cozies up to President Carter -- better known as superstar rapper Lil Wayne -- on a handful of salacious mix tape tracks. She raps about signing her fans’ boobs in a bugged-out Valley girl accent. She’s the first female hip-hop artist to hit number 1 on Billboard’s top rap singles chart since 2003. She’s stolen the spotlight on songs with pop heavyweights Mariah Carey and Usher. And she’s done it all while playing hip-hop’s most dangerous game: sexuality roulette.
Minaj may or may not be attracted to women (more on that later), but she draws a fierce gay following with her brazen lyrics and outsize persona. Beneath her blunt-cut bangs lies a cunning mind capable of weaving sports metaphors and references to ’80s sitcoms into complex rhymes about scoring with girls and blowing guys’ minds. Lady Gaga’s audience was primed to accept her as a sexually adventurous nonconformist by artists like Madonna and David Bowie, but in hip-hop, Nicki Minaj is a real space oddity. Rap has never seen a mainstream rising star this eccentric and brave, yet for all Minaj’s curious artistic choices (two-tone wigs, spontaneous British dialects, shout-outs to Harry Potter) she’s also incredibly popular. She has nearly 1.1 million Twitter followers and a cadre of famous fans like Kanye West, who recently proclaimed she could be the second-biggest rapper of all time, behind Eminem. When her first official album, Pink Friday, arrives in November, Minaj won’t just be the “baddest bitch,” as she calls herself -- she’ll be a bona fide phenomenon.

With her snappy bicurious lyrics and out-of-this-world costume changes, Nicki Minaj is soaring in the most peculiar way. Does she have what it takes to change rap's homophobic landscape forever?

Jay-Z & Eminem Make Concert History at Yankee Stadium

Eminem and Jay-Z make concert history at Yankee Stadium, bringing to the stage everyone from Dr. Dre to Kanye West.
Last night marked the first of Eminem and Jay-Z's two sold-out performances at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx. Th performance was a star-studded event that found Hip Hop's two reigning titans sharing the stage with a plethora of guest artists.
"I got to tell y'all, it's one of the most wonderful things being here tonight, being from New York City and being in Yankee Stadium," said Hova. (Wall Street Journal)
Eminem added to Jay's elation, saying, "Do not think that I don't know where I'm at right now. I'm also honored to be on this fuckin' stage in the Bronx, the fuckin' birthplace of Hip Hop." (Wall Street Journal)
Roc Nation up-and-comer J. Cole opened up the show, with Em following shortly after. The Detroitrapper performed his current smash-hits "Love the Way You Lie" and "Not Afraid" and a number of classics tracks from his discography, including "Lose Yourself," "Cleaning Out My Closet" and "Without Me". Em also brought to the stage a number of guests, including D12, 50 Cent, B.o.B and his mentor Dr. Dre.
"I missed you motherfuckers, did you miss me?" he said to the massive crowd. "It feels so good to be back." (Wall Street Journal)
Not to be outdone, Jay-Z's set found the Brooklyn emcee banging out hits like "99 Problems" and "Hard Knock Life" much to the concert goers' approval. Jay also brought out a number of his friends, including Swizz Beatz, Drake, Chris Martin from Coldplay, Beyonce and of course, Eminem, who joined Jay in performing their classic cut off The Blueprint "Renegade".
One of the most talked about guest performances came from Kanye West, who performed the remix to his hit single "Power" along side his big brother. Nicki Minaj also joined the two artists on stage to perform their much talked about collaboration "Monster."
"This is historic," said Jay. "They ain't never gonna be another night like tonight." (Wall Street Journal)
The two kicked off their Home and Home concert series last week in Eminem's hometown of Detroit. The two will hit the stage at Yankee Stadium again tonight for another performance.

Artist Spotlight: Her Majesty and The Wolves
Skeptical of this project at the beginning I kind of grew fond of the collective known as “Her Majesty and The Wolves”. Comprising of former Pussycat Doll Kim Wyatt and one half of the hetero-duo Jupiter Rising , Spencer Nezey they came together while Kim was working on her as yet titled solo debut album deciding what direction to go. My reservation with this project stem from the fat that while in PCD Kim, never sung a lick until their second album on a deluxe bonus track. She covered a 90’s classic “Don’t Wanna Fall In Love” which when I first heard it I was highly sketchy about it but however it grew on me like a virus. I’ve been a fan of Jupiter Rising from 07 when I seen them on MTV’s Sweet 16 and been following Spencer and Jesse Payo for the past 3 years and was very disappointed when I’ve heard they’ve split, even though it has YET to be confirmed. Back in May Kim announced via Facebook that she had been working on another project called ‘Her Majesty and The Wolves” living her fans in the dark about what it was. Linked them to a mixtape which surprisingly didn’t feature any Kimberly solo material nor any material by the band. Then finally in August they released via there official website ’Glaciers” which caps in at about 6 minutes long and is quite the trippy groove perfect for a rainy day or if your so under the influence you just don’t give a damn. Spencer’s production is beyond flawless while Kim is still figuring out her voice she herself did a pretty good job, the video adds to the trippiness despite the very low budget it still kind of draw the point of this project, it’s not suppose to make sense to you unless you want it to.
you can download “Glaciers” for free and their first official single “Stars In Your Eyes” will be available soon.

Apple iPod nano with Multi-Touch – An Official Look
Earlier today we gave you a first look at the new Multi-Touch iPod Nano. Apple has now official released info on the new product.
“This is the biggest reinvention of the iPod nano since its debut in 2005, and we think users are going to love it,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Replacing the click wheel with our Multi-Touch interface has enabled us to shrink the iPod nano into an amazingly small design that is instantly wearable with its built-in clip.”
It’s rougly half the size and weight of the previous generation and features a built-in FM radio (with live pause), pedometer and also supports Nike + iPod®. Available in 8GB or 16GB sizes in silver, graphite, blue, green, orange or pink.
Also be sure to check out the latest iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch (with FaceTime, HD video recording, etc.) and Apple TV updates.
Further iPod Nano imagery follows.
